A visit to the British Museum inspires Izzy who loves all the stories the Ancient Greeks told. She can’t wait to tell her friends about Icarus who was a total wally and the Trojan Horse which ended a war and wasn’t even real! Join Blue Peter award-winning author Pamela Butchart for some guaranteed laugh out loud fun with Izzy and her friends as they plunge in to more primary school craziness in Icarus Was Ridiculous.
Pamela Butchart taught basketball in America, worked as a phlebotomist and as an artist liaison for a (really bad!) ABBA tribute band before publishing her first book in 2014. Since then she has written more than twenty hilarious picture books and novels for children including bestselling titles such as The Spy Who Loved School Dinners which won the Blue Peter Book Award, and My Head Teacher is a Vampire Rat which won the Children’s Book Award. She is also the author of two new stories for Enid Blyton’s Secret Seven series. When she is not writing Pamela teaches philosophy at secondary school. She lives in Dundee with her family and their two awesome cats.
