Dapo Adeola is an award winning British Nigerian author, illustrator and character designer. He was the BookTrust Writer Illustrator in Residence for 2021-2022.
His greatly acclaimed illustration debut Look Up! written by Nathan Bryon won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in 2020 and the UKLA Book Awards in 2021. Dapo has also created bestselling picture books with Swapna Haddow and Malorie Blackman and the Space Detectives series with Mark Powers, as well as as running workshops for children and adults in disadvantaged and underrepresented communities to highlight the possibilities of a career in illustration.
