Plan Your Visit
The Festival is organised by families for families, so we’re 100% committed to making sure you and your family have an amazing time during your visit to Barnes. Here are a few of our top tips.
What’s On 2020
We’re busy working on our 2020 programme right now!
BOOK IN PERSON
OSO ARTS CENTRE BOX OFFICE
49 Station Road, Barnes SW13 0LF (Google map)
Telephone: 020 8876 9885
Mon – Sat 10am – 4pm
FESTIVAL TICKET OFFICE
Open during Festival weekend only
Barnes Green outside the OSO Arts Centre
Sat – Sun 9am – 6pm
We usually have tickets to most events available for sale from our box office during the Festival weekend but to avoid disappointment we strongly suggest you book in advance for the authors you love.
For our full ticketing terms and conditions, visit www.barneskidslitfest.org/terms
If you’ve booked online you’ll receive an e-ticket. You don’t need to print them out – save paper by showing us your phone.
We keep ticket prices low so as many families as possible can come to our events. You’ll need a ticket for every adult and child attending Festival events, except babies under the age of 12 months. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We cannot take responsibility for unsupervised children so please don’t drop them off and leave.
Our age guidelines are usually based on the reading age of the book, but you know your kids much better than we do, so if you’re happy they’ll enjoy the event, we’re happy!
All our events last one hour unless stated otherwise in the programme and are usually following by book signing.
Everyone is welcome at Barnes, including assistance and service animals. All our venues are wheelchair accessible and if you can let us know you’re coming beforehand we can arrange priority seating for you.
Lost your phone? Lost your kids? Head over to our Festival Ticket Office in front of the OSO Arts Centre.
Barnes is our home and we really want you to treat it as your own. Please do help us keep Barnes clean and green by disposing of your rubbish in the bins provided and by taking everything home that you brought with you.
All the information in this programme is correct at the time of printing. We’d never cancel an event or switch a venue unless it was absolutely necessary but our authors and artists are real people, just like us, and sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances we do need to cancel or substitute an event. We ask you to understand.
