Join the ridiculously funny Andy Stanton for an hour of joyous nonsense as he talks about the best-selling, multi award-winning Mr Gum series, as well as his new book, Natboff! One Million Years of Stupidity, which is just as epically surreal as it sounds. There’ll be plenty of laughter, silly voices and horrible, horrible singing – in short, business as usual! Guaranteed to put a smile on your face (or add an extra one if you were already smiling to begin with).

Andy Stanton is the author of the wickedly funny Mr Gum books – a bestselling series about a nasty man who hates children, corn on the cob and fun.

Over a million copies have been sold in the UK alone, and the books have won a number of awards, including the Red House Award, the Blue Peter Award and the first ever Roald Dahl Funny Prize.

At school, Andy’s teachers would often tell him off for writing silly stories, so he’s extremely happy that he now gets paid to write them! Before becoming a children’s author, Andy was a stand-up comedian, a cartoonist, a film script reader and a lot of other things before going on to publish the first book in the series, You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum! In 2006. He loves books, music and cartoons, and if he could have any special power, it would be to make blackberries appear just by thinking about them.
