Floella Benjamin is one of Britain’s best loved figures. An actress, author, producer and working peer she is most recognised for her work presenting children’s TV programmes including Play School. Join Floella for a truly inspiring event as she talks about her childhood memoir Coming To England and the journey she made as a youngster from Trinidad to embark on a very different life with her family in England in 1960. Floella shows how having the courage to believe in herself helped her – and can help other children – take on new challenges and overcome adversity.
